- A series of strange disappearances have occurred in the Midwestern United States, in a city called Raccoon City. A specialized team of law enforcement officers known as STARS have investigated, determining that the pharmaceutical company Umbrella and its bioweapon, the T-Virus, are to blame for the incident that caused the disappearance of several members of the investigation team. Jill Valentine and the other STARS survivors attempt to spread the truth, but find that the police department itself is under Umbrella's control and their reports are rejected. However, reports of gruesome cannibalism soon surface, and rabid dogs begin to roam the streets. With evil spreading throughout the city, Jill is determined to survive. Unbeknownst to Jill, however, an extremely powerful tracker has already been sent to eliminate her.
